My Story

Hi, my name is Batsala and. I am Queer immigrant woman who moved to Canada in 2017 as an international student. After living in Ontario for more than 2 years, I moved down to Halifax Nova Scotia where I felt at home for the first time.  I still remember vividly my first day in Halifax when an overwhelming feeling of calm came over me and I heard myself say, "I've come home". Even as a kid I had a strong feeling that i want to help people in some way, but I didn't know how. I had my first spiritual awakening in 2019 when the whole world of spirituality opened up for me and I had the realization that there is more to life than paying bills and taxes. After years of soul-searching there was still something missing. In January 2022, I got a Tarot Reading which gave me the hope I was looking for. My tarot reader Rae invited me to take a tarot course with her. But fear and self-limiting beliefs kept me from taking a leap forward. Then in March 2023, I got another reading from her and I decided that I couldn't wait until i felt ready, until i faced all my fears, until i felt worthy. With the faith in the Universe's plan for me, I quit my full-time job. After finishing the tarot course with Rae, I started The Himalayan Priestess where my mission is Healing with Learning. I followed this one quote deeply which changed everything, "If you can't face the fear, do it scared". In this journey I have had to face my biggest fears of putting myself out there, facing the camera, fear of people's judgement, feeling unworthy and deep self-doubt. But the more I showed up for myself, the quieter my inner critic became and slowly the fear started fading away. I connected deeper with my soul's purpose and awakened my psychic and intuitive abilities. Now magic is a part of my everyday life. Through my work I show people how they can connect with their own selves and embody their power fully.
